Christian Sterner “WellcomeMat is making stars out of local personalities and revolutionizing the real estate industry one video at a time.” Born in Summit, New Jersey, Christian Sterner grew up within a large family of local business owners and began his own entrepreneurial escapades with a landscaping service at the early age of eleven. While attending the University of Colorado at Boulder for a degree in English literature, Christian developed a love and fascination for media and technology. He began his career producing multi-media events alongside some of the most brilliant minds of Sony Electronics during the simultaneous collapse of the 1.0 web movement and rise of the “pro-sumer” media revolution. Longing for a home that was not the hectic craze that is New York City, Christian returned to Boulder, Colorado and joined Webroot Sofware, a leading internet security firm that outpaced Google in revenue growth for nearly two years. Christian led Webroot’s Enterprise sales team, and was a founding member of their resale program, an initiative that grew to represent 30% of all enterprise sales. Envisioning the true potential of web video, Christian began developing WellcomeMat nights and weekends in very late 2004 and early 2005. By June 2006, WellcomeMat was officially up and running. |

Phil Thomas Di Giulio “WellcomeMat is for every place and every space that has a story.” Phil is an entrepreneur active in the New York “Silicon Alley” start-up/tech community since 2004. He Co-Founded WellcomeMat.com in 2005, a Internet video publishing platform helping real estate brokerages, agents and filmmakers showcase physical places (property, communities, etc) through digital media. Phil recently Co-Founded Pegshot, a powerfully simple way to broadcast mobile media (videos & photos) of what’s happening where you are, straight from your phone. Additionally, Di Giulio is the Executive Director for the Future of Local, a series of events celebrating the people, technologies and services shaping the local. |
