Lumos Productions was founded by Stuart O'Steen because, as a producer and consumer of video services from other companies, he saw a need in the marketplace for someone to do the highest quality productions for a much lower price than is currently being offered. Sounds like mom and apple pie, doesn't it? Or like general corporate marketing-speak? In this case, it happens to be true.

Lumos' philosophy is to use top quality equipment (which is expensive), and top quality artists (also expensive), but to use fewer artists on a shoot than most companies. To do that, we contract with multi-skilled individuals with (often) decades of experience. Where a shoot might have required a crew of five in the past, we might get it done with two people. The BEST people. There are just fewer of them to pay.

We pass these savings along to our customers (keeping a bit for ourselves so that our families can eat).
