Adam Sauermilch is a young filmmaker, currently a Junior at Maryland Institute of Arts (MICA), majoring in video. He takes his inspiration from an urban environment having grown up in Brooklyn, New York, and from his extensive travel in Europe. His short films were selected for presentation at The New York Independent and International Film Festival screened in New York City and the video foundation course at MICA screened in Falvey Hall, Baltimore. During his high school years at the Brooklyn Friends School, he took various courses in film and video at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons in New York City. He also worked as an intern with City lights Productions and Greene Street Films, New York, and accompanied various shoots as a production assistant.
