I'm a licensed Real Estate Broker from New Mexico. Got out of the US market last January and moved down here to Costa Rica where the market is HOT! The baby boomer generation is coming in like crazy and the US economy in heading in the wrong direction. I pray for all us Americans that this is the usual recession that we go through every 15-20 years but I just don't see what can pull us out of this one. Majority of our industry is overseas, China holds more than 40% of our debt and has stopped investing in the US Dollar, there's not enough money in SS if every eligible retiree was to retire today, Lending market is crashing, and Real Estate Market is horrible in some of the past best places to invest in. We Americans have been "trained" to think that our government can bail us out of any economic crisis and it's time that we start taking our financial matter in our own hands and think globally. CR may not be the best investment or retirement place for you, but I encourage everyone to put their financial future into their OWN hands and not some US Financial specialist who is trying to make money in a failing economy. Do your homework and take on some educated global investments.
