I'm a country girl who grew up on the flatlands of Eastern South Dakota in Mitchell. As a little girl on the farm, I developed a real adoration for animals, plants and all things natural. After graduating from high school, I moved to Colorado's Front range where I became enamored with mountains and particularly the Rocky Mountain lifestyle. I became aquainted with the real estate industry, working for the Home Builders Association at the Parade of Homes. My desire to pursue higher education in a mountain environment eventually led me North to Montana to attend the University of Montana where I studied Business.
Soon after moving to Montana I met my husband, a University of Montana Forestry School graduate and moved to the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. My husband and I became involved with the harvest of Special Forest Products, such as morel mushrooms, pine cones, medicinal herbs and various floral industry accents, developing a small business which we continue to be involved with today. Whether harvesting these products, hiking with our dogs or chasing both lift served and back-country powder on our well worn skiis, we try to spend as much time as possible enjoying the mountains and forests of Montana that provide such a blessed lifestyle for anyone lucky enough to live here.
