Used for the promotion of the 2005 New York Television Festival (NYTVF) and then repurposed to promote a TV Show pitch contest for the 2006 NYTVF. Over 75 actors came in for the casting call. We went with approx 15 actors, shooting each actor pitch his or her idea for a TV Show. Pieces of the entire shoot were mixed together for this commercial. The end result is a series of mixed pitches exemplifying just how difficult it is to have someone understand your ideas, without showing them. Likewise the general theme if the festival, forget pitching your pilot. Instead shoot a 20min pilot, submit it to the festival, and be the next Sorkin, Abrhams, etc. We filmed these cropped shots with a Panasonic AG-DVX100A camcorder.
