Distribute Videos from WellcomeMat to Posterous

Posterous is a cool service...really...if you haven't tried it, you should. Their premise is simple: if you want to create a blog post that's rich with videos and photos, you should be able to simply send an email and have a post just happen.

Easy enough right?

Now when you post a video to WellcomeMat, you can also automatically distribute your video to your posterous blog.

Want to try it? Simply enter the email address that your Posterous blog posts are to come from within the "Distribution" section of our upload and edit/preview screens > submit

Note: Posterous sends confirmation(s) to the email address that you enter so you can preview the videos once they are live on their site.

As a Heads Up to Video Pros:

Most of you are already doing this, but please be ready to start assigning all real estate videos (properties/listings) to your clients. Listing ID(s) and assigment of videos to correct agents/brokers is going to be required in order to send videos to real estate specific sites.

Note: we realize that in order for us to require that videos be transferred to clients, we need to provide a way for you to showcase your client videos.

 This is a cool feature!  I don't have a Posterous blog, but I like that you are really trying to branch out in distribution.  Now, if I could get the Youtube distribution to work, I'd be loving this.  I really appreciate everything you're doing, and I hope you continue.  Every real estate agent I talk to that is interested in video is really starting to think it's the wave of the future... this is really going to catch on very quickly over the next few years- nationwide, and probably world-wide!

It is super easy to start a posterous blog: just enter in the email address that you want to send blog posts from. Done! YouTube has continued to throw curve balls at us, but we are hammering on it until it works ALL the time.

Heads up all: I am consistently posting videos without issue to YouTube. If anyone is having trouble with automated distribution to YouTube, please email support@wellcomemat.com with a link to the video. Thanks for any all help on this front...

Very nice the only problem I have is that I have my Posterous set to pass these posts off to my Wordpress blog but unfortuneately only the text portions flowed through to the Wordpress blog. Darn!
