Music for Video Tours

Does anyone have some suggestions on a good place to get music for video tours?  I find that I'm spending more time looking for decent royalty-free music than I do actually editing the video.  Any help would be appreciated!

I found www.shockwave-sound.com to be very user friendly. I picked some music for my videos and use it over and over again for branding reasons. Good luck!

http://audiojungle.net/   is hands down the best IMO.  The only drawback is their payment system.

 http://www.pond5.com/

avg will be $15.00 to $30.00 per track.  It is well worth what you get.  I picked up a track  last year for $25.00 and it later was used in the Kellogs Frosted Flakes commercial,  the track is not avaiable on Pond5 any more, but I picked up the rights before it went national and still use the track on certain types of video.  I have found some cheaper music on Pond5, but the best is in that $25 range.

I have used iStock, found all the free stuff which is not great and found all the iTunes stuff and the best bang for the buck is Pond5.  In 2003 I bought two libraries from Music Bakery and still use some of it, but it is dated now and that cost $300 for two CDs.

Thanks for the input, Ted.  I found Pond5 to be reasonably priced but I spend so much time searching for something I like.  I'll try looking in that $25 range like you suggested.

Leslie,  Yeah looking through the library is a pain sometimes, but I last year at this time I backed off making video and spent a ton and I mean a ton of time looking at Video on Youtube & Vimeo and paid close attention to Edting and Music and less on content.  I also spent time and still do watching the documentary channel.  It really made it easier to get through the Pond5 library now, because I have a narrower focus for each video I create.

 Nick,

I cant see where that  music can be licensed otr at what fee. It's not worth the risk or the effort to use any music you do not have proper control over.

I agree that shockwave is good.  You might also try this:  http://www.soundsnap.com/  IIRC, the first five downloads per month (or something like that) are free.  You might also check out http://muvipix.com/.  They often have free stuff for download, and for a small subscription, you get access to a couple of pages of high-quality music, plus backgrounds and the like.  And the forums have a lot of people you can interact with for editing tips, especially with Adobe Premiere.

I think you'll find that, over time, you'll acquire the music you need for the different sorts of homes you shoot.
