This might well have been the community that stimulated the population growth in Spotsylvania County in the 1980's. For several years Breezewood was "the" community of the county. Slowly but surely the size and quality of the homes here changed dramatically. Soon the need outgrew the supply and builders began moving further out in the county to find land. Still a very popular destination for people moving to this part of Virginia.
