The Ute Indian Museum is located just southwest of Montrose, Colorado. Montrose was the home of Chief Ouray and his wife Chipeta for many years. Chipeta is buried on the museum grounds and she accompanied by other famous Ute members. The Ute museum is just one of many reasons why Montrose is a unique and special place to work and live.
