Correction to music credits:This was NOT Project Natale - it was a quartet assembled especially for Dani's birthday party BY longtime Laurel resident, Carl Cornwell, because Carl and his beloved Elizabeth are forever indebted to Dani for showing them 2,358 properties before they settled on one that finally allowed them get on with the business of life in spite of being madly in love. Bassist, Pepe Gonzaiez of Washington, DC - has been a mainstay of Washington's jazz scene for as a teacher and sideman for over four decades. Cornwell says "I'm not sure how he found the time, but he logged performance and recording credits with my band - UNIT CIRCLE - in the 1990's", and recently - out of the blue - he invited me to perform on his recently released album of original compositions "Looking Back" (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/pepegonzalez) . The drummer on that recording - Greg Holloway (http://greghollowayjazz.com/) - is the the drummer you are listening to on this gig . Bob Butta (piano, with credits that stretch from Baltimore to Nairobi and back) and Carl Cornwell appeared with Project Natale two days later at Laurel's McCollough Field. Dani and family were in attendance, but apparently confused regarding who played at their party two nights earlier. Must have been a GOOD PARTY!!!!.- Carl
