Humane Society Naples awarded the 2012 Animal Advocate Award to Belen Brisco for her tireless efforts to protect animals from being changed and uncared for. Through her efforts laws have been passed in many counties throughout Florida and elsewhere to protect dogs and other mistreated animals.
She also takes her message to local schools with Lilly, a rescue from such mistreatment.
