Content Ownership is King

Today, it was reported that Instagram has made changes to its terms of service enabling it to sell any of its users’ photos, without sharing any of the revenue generated with content creators.

A quote from a software developer after he read the news:

“You are not our customers, you are the cattle we drive to market and auction off to the highest bidder. Enjoy your feed and keep producing the milk.” – Reginald Braithwaite.

So, I have to to ask: is “free” really worth it?
